Education and Training

Dr. Lawrence received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Alhambra California where she obtained training in the field of Multicultural Clinical Community Psychology. Additionally, Dr. Lawrence is a Certified School Psychologist as well as a Certified Sign Language Interpreter. These programs equipped her with the clinical skills needed to work in our culturally diverse society. Dr. Lawrence has had the honor of working with individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds, socioeconomic status and developmental stages.


Dr. Lawrence’s work has given her a great deal of exposure and experience working with individuals with depressionanxiety, phase of life challenges and relationship difficulties. She has an extensive history working within the Deaf and Hard-of Hearing community, children and adolescents ages 2 to 18, the geriatric community and individuals with severe cognitive disabilities as well as those who are challenged with chronic severe mental illnesses. Dr. Lawrence also has clinical experience in conducting psycho-educational assessments, attending IEP meetings, providing educational consultations, facilitating groups and individual therapy with children and adults. Dr. Lawrence has a wide range of experience in supervising interns, working with at risk youth and domestic violence survivors. In private practice, Dr. Lawrence has focused on working with individuals across the life span in an integrative fashion, meeting each client where they are.

Areas of Specialty

Dr. Lawrence has specialized education and training in Multicultural Community Clinical Psychology. She received additional training in psychological assessment/testing, is fluent in American Sign Language and has experience providing brief-therapeutic models, and working individuals across the life span.
